SEAM SOURCE-AVAILABLE LICENSE
Version 1.0

Copyright 2026 BlackhatShiftey. All rights reserved.

This license governs use of SEAM and any source code, documentation, tests,
benchmarks, interfaces, designs, or other materials made available in this
repository, except where a specific file states a different license.

SEAM is source-available software. It is not open-source software under the
Open Source Initiative definition, and public repository access does not grant
permission to use SEAM commercially, host SEAM, resell SEAM, embed SEAM in a
closed product, or operate SEAM for third parties. Commercial use is available
only through a separate written commercial license from the Project Owner.

1. Definitions

"SEAM" means this software project, including the runtime, command-line tools,
dashboard, protocols, source code, documentation, tests, benchmarks, visual
designs, and related materials.

"Project Owner" means BlackhatShiftey or any successor that owns the SEAM
copyrights.

"You" means any individual or organization receiving or using SEAM.

"Hosted Service" means making SEAM, a modified version of SEAM, or substantially
similar functionality based on SEAM available to third parties over a network,
including as software-as-a-service, a hosted API, a managed service, a cloud
service, or a customer-facing hosted product.

"Commercial Use" means use intended for commercial advantage, monetary
compensation, revenue generation, business operations for paying customers,
closed-source product development, paid consulting delivery, resale, or paid
customer deployment.

"Contribution" means any code, documentation, tests, benchmarks, issue text,
pull request, patch, design, or other material submitted to the SEAM project.

2. Permission Granted

Subject to this license, you may:

- read and review SEAM source code and documentation;
- fork SEAM for review, evaluation, or contribution preparation;
- run SEAM locally for personal, educational, research, or non-commercial
  evaluation purposes;
- modify SEAM locally for those permitted purposes;
- submit Contributions back to the Project Owner; and
- use SEAM in an open-source project only when that project does not host,
  resell, commercialize, embed, or expose substantial SEAM functionality to
  third parties.

These permissions are limited to the purposes stated above. All rights not
expressly granted are reserved by the Project Owner.

3. Commercial and Hosted Use Is Available by Separate License

Commercial use is welcome only when you have a separate written commercial
license from the Project Owner. You may not do any of the following without
that written commercial license:

- offer SEAM, a modified SEAM, or substantially similar SEAM functionality as a
  Hosted Service;
- offer SEAM as software-as-a-service, a hosted API, a managed service, a cloud
  service, or a paid customer-facing service;
- sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or charge for access to SEAM;
- use SEAM in a Commercial Use;
- embed SEAM in a closed-source, proprietary, or commercial product;
- redistribute SEAM as part of a paid product, paid service, paid deployment, or
  customer deliverable;
- use SEAM to provide paid consulting, integration, support, operations, or
  managed-service work for a third party;
- remove or obscure license, copyright, ownership, or notice files; or
- use SEAM to build, operate, or market a competing hosted product or service.

If your use could make money from SEAM, help a customer make money from SEAM,
or provide SEAM functionality to third parties, you need a separate written
commercial license from the Project Owner before doing so.

4. Contributions

By submitting a Contribution to SEAM, you represent that you have the right to
submit it and that it does not knowingly include material you are not allowed to
license.

You grant the Project Owner a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive,
royalty-free, fully paid-up license to use, reproduce, modify, prepare
derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, sublicense,
relicense, and commercially license your Contribution as part of SEAM or related
SEAM offerings.

This Contribution grant is intended to let the Project Owner keep developing
SEAM, accept community improvements, protect the project, and offer separate
commercial licenses without needing additional permission from each contributor.

You keep any copyright you own in your Contribution, but you may not revoke the
rights granted above after submitting it.

5. Project Owner Rights

The Project Owner may continue to develop, modify, distribute, sublicense,
relicense, dual-license, commercially license, sell, host, or otherwise exploit
SEAM and related SEAM offerings without restriction.

Nothing in this license limits the Project Owner's right to add to SEAM, change
future license terms for future versions, enter into commercial agreements,
offer paid hosted services, or stop distributing SEAM.

6. Benchmarks and Claims

SEAM benchmark files and benchmark results are covered by this license unless a
specific file states otherwise.

You may not use SEAM benchmark names, benchmark outputs, claims, reports, or
project branding to imply endorsement by the Project Owner. Public performance
claims about SEAM must be supported by reproducible benchmark evidence and must
not misrepresent SEAM's capabilities, ownership, or license restrictions.

Benchmark evidence does not create any additional license rights. A strong
benchmark result does not grant permission for Commercial Use or Hosted Service
use.

7. No Trademark or Branding Rights

This license does not grant rights to use the SEAM name, logos, dashboard
designs, protocol names, visual identity, trade dress, or branding marks except
as needed to truthfully identify the unmodified project in permitted evaluation
or contribution activity.

8. Third-Party Components

Third-party dependencies, libraries, tools, models, datasets, or other materials
may be governed by their own licenses. This license does not give you rights in
third-party materials beyond the rights provided by those third parties.

9. Termination

Your rights under this license terminate automatically if you violate its terms.
After termination, you must stop using SEAM and delete or destroy any copies in
your possession or control, except copies you are required to retain by law.

The Project Owner may reinstate permissions in writing.

10. No Warranty

SEAM is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or conditions of
any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness
for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, security, accuracy,
availability, or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Project Owner and contributors will
not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential,
exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business
interruption, or other losses arising from or related to SEAM, this license, or
any use or inability to use SEAM.

12. Commercial Permission

Commercial, hosted, SaaS, API, managed-service, closed-source, embedded,
redistribution, resale, customer-deployment, or other paid use requires a
separate written commercial license from the Project Owner. Contact the Project
Owner before using SEAM for any commercial, hosted, or customer-facing purpose.
